Zero issues with fighting the Prussians in Prague / Silesia and Bavaria. None of the units on the map seem to be the cause of the crash, and I've been consistently fighting field battles in southern Germany, the Balkans, Italy and France for 50 turns now. I seem to recall a problem with field battles in the northern German areas from ages ago, but I can't find anything on it now. I loaded the game and tried again, only to have it freeze about 10 minutes in. I changed the drum/fife to default and turned off the enhanced battlefield sounds as the solution in the thread said to do. I look it up at this point and find a few threads reporting similar problems, one of them had it pinned to an issue with the sound files. I load the game up and fight the first battle again, and it freezes in the first few minutes. Mid-battle, my game freezes with the sound running and I'm forced to close the game. After winning, I follow the survivors and attempt to wipe them off the map.
I lock down Brandenburg with a siege and then draw the garrison in Saxony out into a field battle. I'm sorry for making one of these threads, but the DM forum seems pretty dead at this point, so I'm hoping that I can get a solution here.īasically, I'm about 60 turns into a Causa Belli campaign as Austria, going pretty well, about to smash the Prussians.

Running Windows 7 and my system specs are well above recommended so it's not a performance issue.
